Empowering Rural Youth with Digital Skills

At AIM Foundation, empowering communities through technology is more than a mission—it’s a commitment. Through our Dhriti Foundation initiative, we’ve taken this commitment to the heart of Rangkhila, East Bardhaman, where digital access and career-building tools were once limited.

Our rural center is now home to students learning MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as advanced applications like GIS, Remote Sensing, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD. These skills are no longer reserved for metropolitan hubs—they are now being taught in villages, opening up a world of opportunities for students who once had none.

Each classroom session is structured to combine theory with hands-on practice. From basic typing skills to creating maps using QGIS, learners gain confidence with each passing day. Many of our students aspire to enter fields like urban planning, disaster management, and climate analysis, all of which require geospatial proficiency.

What sets this initiative apart is not just the technology—it’s the hope it brings. For young people in Rangkhila, this is a chance to dream bigger, work smarter, and build futures that once felt out of reach.

We thank our trainers, volunteers, and supporters for helping us sustain this mission. Change doesn't happen overnight—but it does happen, one class at a time.
