Vision for All: AIM Foundation’s Free Eye Check-up Camp with Susrut Eye Hospital
Access to basic healthcare is a fundamental right, yet millions still go without essential services. In line with its mission to bridge this gap, AIM Foundation, in collaboration with Susrut Eye Foundation and Hospital, recently organized a free eye check-up camp at its Hazra Centre in Kolkata.
Held at 110B Sarat Bose Road, the camp provided 56 individuals from underserved communities with comprehensive eye check-ups. Among them, 11 people were diagnosed with cataracts, a condition that, if left untreated, can lead to permanent vision loss. These individuals will now undergo free cataract surgeries, restoring not only their vision but their ability to work, move independently, and live fully.
In addition, 24 individuals were given spectacles on the spot, enhancing their quality of life and daily functionality. Many of these patients had never had their eyes examined before—highlighting the profound need for such outreach efforts.
This initiative stands as a powerful example of how partnerships can produce meaningful impact. With the expertise of Susrut Eye Hospital and the grassroots community outreach of AIM Foundation, lives are being changed one person at a time.
In a country where preventive eye care is often overlooked, such camps do more than detect problems—they restore hope, enable productivity, and ensure dignity. AIM Foundation’s commitment to accessible healthcare for all continues to bring light into the lives of those who need it most.
Let’s continue to support such efforts. Together, we can ensure a future where no one suffers in silence due to lack of vision care.
