Vision for All: A Free Eye Check-up Camp at Hazra Centre

 In a world where access to basic healthcare remains a challenge for many, AIM Foundation continues to bridge the gap with heartfelt initiatives. Recently, in collaboration with Susrut Eye Foundation and Hospital, we organized a free eye check-up camp at our Hazra Centre (110B, Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata – 700029). The event was a step toward restoring not just sight, but also dignity and independence.

The camp saw 56 residents from the local community receive comprehensive eye examinations. Of these, 11 were diagnosed with cataracts and scheduled for free surgeries—a chance to see the world clearly once again. An additional 24 individuals received corrective spectacles, significantly improving their everyday quality of life.

The event highlighted our unwavering focus on healthcare accessibility, especially for those who need it most. With trained professionals on-site, we ensured every participant received personalized care and proper follow-ups. For many, it was their first medical consultation in years.

More than just a medical camp, this initiative was a celebration of hope. Our volunteers and team members worked tirelessly to create a welcoming and safe environment. Smiles and gratitude filled the air, and it became clear that something as simple as vision correction can change lives profoundly.

We believe that eye health is integral to personal and community development. Clear vision opens up opportunities—from education to employment—that help individuals become self-reliant and empowered.

This camp reflects AIM Foundation’s broader mission to provide quality health services to underserved populations. As we move forward, we are determined to hold more such camps across Kolkata and beyond, ensuring that no one is left in the dark.
