Bringing Light to Lives: Eye Check-Up Camp at Hazra Centre

 AIM Foundation, in partnership with Susrut Eye Foundation and Hospital, recently organized a free eye check-up camp at our Hazra Centre (110B, Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata – 700029). With the goal of ensuring accessible healthcare for underserved communities, this initiative brought much-needed eye care directly to those who need it most.

A total of 56 individuals received comprehensive eye examinations, allowing early detection of conditions like cataracts and refractive errors. Among them, 11 patients diagnosed with cataracts were selected for free surgeries to restore their vision—restoring not just sight, but also independence and quality of life. Additionally, 24 people received prescription spectacles, enabling them to perform daily tasks with confidence.

This camp was more than a health intervention—it was a step toward dignity, mobility, and social inclusion for many. The heartfelt conversations and gratitude from beneficiaries underscored how critical such grassroots outreach continues to be in bridging healthcare gaps.
