Health Awareness Camp for Women and Girls – Promoting Preventive Care

In a proactive step toward women’s health and wellness, AIM Foundation organized a Health Awareness Camp dedicated to women and adolescent girls in rural Howrah. The event was designed to break the silence around critical health issues, offering knowledge and access to preventive healthcare resources.

The camp focused on educating participants about menstrual hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health, and early detection of illnesses like breast and cervical cancer. Healthcare professionals conducted detailed sessions, offering tips on self-examination, proper diet, and mental well-being. Free basic health check-ups, BMI calculations, and hemoglobin tests were also provided.

The camp witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 90 women and girls from nearby villages. Many attendees appreciated the openness with which sensitive topics were addressed—an effort to dismantle long-held stigmas. Health kits including sanitary napkins, multivitamin tablets, and educational leaflets were distributed to all participants.

This initiative embodies AIM Foundation’s commitment to building health literacy and self-reliance in underserved communities. By equipping women with knowledge and access to care, we’re planting seeds for a healthier future.
