Nutrition Drive for Children in Slum Areas – Fighting Malnourishment Together

With growing concern around child malnutrition, AIM Foundation launched a special Nutrition Drive in the Tiljala slums of Kolkata. The campaign aimed to promote healthy eating practices while providing nutrient-rich meals to children facing food insecurity.

More than 120 children aged 2 to 12 were assessed for weight and height, and those found undernourished were enrolled in a follow-up nutrition program. Each child received a healthy meal consisting of rice, dal, vegetables, boiled eggs, and seasonal fruits.

Volunteers also educated parents about locally available, low-cost nutritious foods and the importance of hygiene in food preparation. Educational posters were distributed and pasted in community centers.

This drive is a part of AIM Foundation’s long-term child health and welfare strategy. By tackling malnutrition with compassion and education, we aim to nourish not just bodies—but also the potential within every child.
