Skill for the Future: Training Young Minds in Jalpaiguri
In the peaceful surroundings of Abasar, Jalpaiguri, just beside the lush Gorumara Jungle, AIM Foundation is quietly building a digital revolution. Our newly launched training center is equipping youth with essential digital skills that are shaping tomorrow’s professionals.
Under the Dhriti Foundation initiative, our center teaches Microsoft Office tools, Remote Sensing, GIS applications, and industry-standard platforms like QGIS, ArcGIS, and Erdas Imagine. For students here, this isn’t just education—it’s transformation. Many of them are first-generation learners with limited exposure to technology, yet they show remarkable dedication and drive.
Every week, students engage in project-based learning—designing maps, analyzing spatial data, and understanding real-world applications. These skills are directly applicable in fields like climate research, infrastructure planning, and sustainable development—industries poised for growth.
This initiative is bridging the urban-rural divide by bringing world-class training to remote corners of North Bengal. More importantly, it instills self-confidence, digital literacy, and long-term career readiness among local youth.
Parents are thrilled to see their children gain relevant skills that can lead to jobs, internships, or higher studies. The change is visible not just in their resumes—but in their mindset.
As this batch moves forward, we remain committed to strengthening our curriculum and expanding our reach. Every student here is proof that geography is not a barrier to greatness—opportunity is.
