Vocational Skills Workshop for Marginalized Youth – Tools for Livelihood

AIM Foundation recently conducted a hands-on Vocational Skills Workshop in Baruipur, South 24 Parganas, aimed at empowering underprivileged youth with practical tools to build sustainable livelihoods.

The workshop included sessions on tailoring, mobile phone repairing, and basic electrical maintenance. Experienced trainers led the week-long program, offering both theoretical understanding and live demonstrations. Participants not only learned new trades but were also mentored on entrepreneurship and customer relations.

Around 50 young individuals, most of them school dropouts or unemployed, completed the training and received certificates. A few have already begun home-based businesses using the starter kits provided.

By making skill-building accessible, AIM Foundation continues its mission to create livelihood opportunities and reduce the cycle of poverty. Real change begins when youth are given the tools to dream and build on their own.
